[Voice Memo 3 - Zain - recorded late at night, quiet, sounds tired]

OK so I've been doing the math and... it's not as easy as I thought. Let me think out loud.

If I rent a classroom space, that's going to cost me. The community center wants PKR 2,000 per hour. If I do 6 sessions per weekend, that's 6 x 1.5 hours x 2,000 = PKR 18,000 per weekend. That's PKR 72,000 per month just for space. That eats into my margins big time.

And if I add weekday sessions, that's even more. Maybe I should stick to weekends only after all. The parents who wanted weekdays can figure it out.

Actually, wait. What if I did a hybrid thing? Start at my apartment for the first few months -- just 2 batches on Saturday, 2 on Sunday. Small, 4 students max per batch. That's 16 students x 20,000 each = PKR 320,000. Not as much as my original 450K projection but it's still really good and I have zero overhead.

Then once I have enough students and momentum, THEN rent a proper space and expand. Phase 1: apartment. Phase 2: rented space. That makes more sense.

[long pause]

Subjects. I've decided. Start with maths only. Just maths. I know I said maths and physics before, and then I was thinking about computer science, but honestly if I try to do multiple subjects from day one I'm going to burn out. I still have my bank job. So: maths for O-Levels and maths for A-Levels. Two curricula, one subject. That's manageable.

Physics can come in month 3 or 4. Computer science maybe never -- it's a lot of prep work to develop that curriculum from scratch.

Pricing: I'm going with PKR 20,000 for small group (4 students) and I'm NOT doing a cheaper tier. If I offer cheap options, everyone will pick the cheap option. One price, one level of quality. The parents who can't afford it... I'll offer one scholarship spot per batch. That feels right.

Timeline: I need at LEAST a month to prepare. Not 2 weeks like I said before -- that was crazy. I need to:
- Create curriculum plans for O-Level and A-Level maths
- Design the first 4 weeks of worksheets and problem sets
- Set up a simple registration system (even just a Google Form)
- Make a WhatsApp group for each batch
- Create some kind of marketing material

Actually probably 6 weeks to be safe. I want the materials to be really good before I start. First impressions matter.

[yawning]

One thing I'm worried about. What if I can't get enough students? Like what if I only get 5 students total instead of 16? That's only PKR 100,000 and I'm spending all my weekends for basically nothing. At what point is this not worth it? I think... if I can't get at least 8 students within the first 2 months, I should probably reconsider.

Also need to figure out: what happens during exam season? That's when demand spikes but also when I'D be busiest at the bank because of year-end. And what about Eid holidays and summer break? Do I run through those or take a break? Parents will expect consistency.

OK I'm going to sleep. I feel better about this than yesterday. The plan is: small start, one subject, one price point, my apartment, weekend only. Grow from there. Simple.
