This module focuses on four key skills that you will develop by completing async units and attending workshops:

  • **Skill 1:**Explore ML and AI principles, their applications and their potential to transform business operations and decision-making processes.
  • **Skill 2:**Differentiate between various ML algorithms and models, understanding their underlying mathematical concepts, strengths, limitations and appropriate use cases in solving complex business problems.
  • Skill 3: Analyse the stages of the ML lifecycle and their interconnections and learn essential mathematical concepts underlying ML algorithms, enhancing the ability to understand, implement and optimise ML models.
  • **Skill 4:**Evaluate cutting-edge developments in ML and AI, positioning apprentices and their organisations to leverage technological innovation.

Identifying AI-driven opportunities to optimise business processes in the real world.​

In 2023, Duolingo launched AI-powered chatbots using GPT-4 to provide interactive language tutoring, enhancing user engagement and learning experiences. It increased engagement, improved customer satisfaction and scalable personalised tutoring. Additionally, it expanded to more languages, integrated voice-based AI and provided customised lesson plans.
